The part number of the brake assembly specified by the OEM determines which type of lining is to be used.<\/p>\n<p>The semi-metallic linings consist of Kevlar fibres integrated into the material, which ensure maximum braking power and a long service life of the lining. The optimum operating temperature of the semi-metallic brake pads is 600-900 \u00b0F.<\/p>\n<p>The main component of metallic brake pads is iron. In an adhesion system, a thin layer of brake pad material is transferred to the disc when it enters and adheres to it.
